talkiing brings web chat, mobile chat and SMS into one place. Built with Børns Vilkår in 2012 and used today by NGOs, municipalities and psychiatry services that need confidential conversations — including with people who will not pick up the phone.
There are two tracks. Anonymous: full confidentiality, regardless of age or background. Dialogue: encrypted SMS where you know the citizen, can share images and documents, and stop using insecure ordinary SMS.
SMS counselling became the fastest-growing channel in the history of BørneTelefonen. A 12-year-old girl put it plainly: she had not dared to call, and the computer was only available at school. Only SMS let her get through.
